If anyone is interested, I'm leading a mountain bike ride Sunday 9/5 for some friends who want to get in some Vermont50 training/climbing.

Leaving at 8am from the parking lot near the Lake Mcdonough dam/Rt. 219/Ratlum Road intersection. We'll climb up and down Ratlum Mountain and head over to Nepaug for a bit. Probably not too technical a mtb ride; intent is to get in some steep dirt climbs while not getting shot for trespassing. Count on getting lost a few times. Planning on four hours or so, but lots of bail-out options if time is an issue.

Good way to unwind from the club century on Saturday!

Post here or email me if you want to join (just in case there are any last minute changes).

Maybe the 705's will get clearanced <shrug>. I've got the Forerunner 305 as well, and have been using courses as a crude GPS map. You've got a breadcrumb to follow, and it'll tell you when you're off location. No turn by turn, but it's enough to stay on track for rides on unfamiliar roads. MapMyRide can export .crs files, and the Garmin Training Center will upload them to the 305. That's about all it's good for (big SportTracks fan here...). Hope this helps!

Andris
